Comment

"This pie is Trinitarian for several reasons. First of all, it has three parts. It has a crust, it has a filling, and it has a topping. Second, each of the three parts has three ingredients.

Type

Dessert

->Ingredients

Crust
1 cup of flour and ½ teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup of Crisco shortening
3 tablespoons of ice water

Filling
Five or six Granny Smith Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Topping
¾ cup flour
½ cup sugar
1/3 cup butter

->Directions

Crust
Cut Crisco into the flour/salt mixture until the texture is like that of sand.
Add the water, mix together and roll out the pastry and place in the pie plate.

Filling
Place sliced apples in a bowl, top with sugar and cinnamon.

Topping
Mix flour and sugar together, cut in the butter.

Put the apple mixture in the prepared crust, and add the topping. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, and then 350 degrees for forty minutes.

Say a prayer of thanks to God and enjoy!
